DOSECC Distinguished Lecturer Series
Application Procedure
Academic institutions including University and College departments, Science clubs/organizations, State Geological Surveys, etc. are invited to host a lecturer from the DOSECC Speakers List.
Organizations may ask DOSECC to fund travel costs, including airfare and other transportation to and from the lecture site, and meals while travelling. We ask that the host institution provide meals and lodging while the speaker is in town.
Funding decisions are the prerogative of the Distinguished Lecturer Program Coordinator. Funding is provided on a first come, first served basis.
Application procedure:
Contact a speaker from the list. Settle on a tentative date for the talk, and determine the transportation, lodging, and incidental costs of the visit. Write a letter or email to the Distinguished Lecturer Program Coordinator including all of the pertinent information. Please apply at least two months prior to the scheduled talk.
Please include all of the following information with your request:
After the talk, please provide DOSECC with a report of the event, and give the following documentation and information to insure prompt reimbursement:
